We arrived about 9am, knowing that we couldn't get into our rooms until 3pm, but hoping to be able to leave our cases in safety. The management were happy to store the cases, and could obviously see how tired we were after over 30hours on the journey. They made available another room for us to rest in, and provided breakfast. They seemes anxious to oblige, and treated us with kindness. The proximity to Gloucester Road Tube Station was good, and the general area around the Hotel felt safe day and night.

Although the staff were obliging, they didn't quite deliver the service we expected. Compared to other places we stayed, we felt the prices were excessive.

    Fabulous

Absolutely convenient location on tube line to Heathrow with restaurants, pubs, park, shops all handy walking distance. Awesome breakfast!!!!

Compact - but how else to get budget price in this location

    Very good

The hotel is at a good place and the staff was really friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and we were stuffed...

This budget hotel is a family run hotel and maybe they don't have enough capital to renew all the windows, at least not in all rooms. The walls are rather thin. Be sure to take a soap with you as it is not provided. My biggest problem was that when we have arrived, they have made us pay the fee in advance for the whole stay and after that, they have told us that they currently can't provide us with the four bed room we've booked. Although had I known that before paying for the room, I would have still paid the fee in advance, but this way I felt a little being "trapped". Fortunately, after a day, we've received the room with four beds, and everything turned out to be fine.

Not alot really, the room was so so cold and damp you literally could not swing a cat! Mind you, you would of been able to swing a gerbil!!! The breakfast wasnt that great either, cold very greasey and the toast was made from a baggeutte which seemed to have gone stale as I couldnt bite into it. Myself and a collegue who stayed were actually laughing at how bad this hotel is!!

    Very good

The staff are very friendly and helpful. You started your day with a very big breakfast served at your table. They are constently going round asking if you would like something else. A very good selection of food. Bedroom served its purpose, TV didnt really work but although the children didnt like that fact I was not bothered.

This hotel is a bit tired looking, a fresh coat of paint, a bit of dusting on top of the reception and moving mattresses from the stairs would make it look so much better.

    Very good

Location close to Gloucester Road station. Excellent surroundings in London. Very easy to walk to the museums in the Kensington area. Very nice breakfast.

The room was too small and the bathroom was too basic. No towel hangers at all, even in the bedroom.

    Very good

Super customer service. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The complimentary English breakfast was very good and plentiful. You don't go away hungry. Everything was clean. The kitchen and dining room are available until at least 9 pm (self-service only). We had snacks we bought from a nearby Tesco and were able to use the dining room at 11:30 pm. If you want a luxury hotel, this is not for you. But, if you want a clean place to sleep, get a good hot breakfast (family style), and a place to use as your base as you explore London, then consider staying here. I would stay again.

You have to have an open mind when staying here. The rooms are tiny and have some wear and tear. There's not much room to move around.

We come across two front desk staff. The one with evening duty happened to be much more helpful than the other who just wanted to sell some bus tour. The kitchen people were all very nice. We did enjoy every breakfast time. There is a kitchen which we could use as we like even during night time. We managed to cook some evening meals there.

The room is untidy and not clean enough. Though the toilet is equipped with a water basin (too small) and a shower corner (without any racks or hooks), there are just put there seemingly without any thoughts about whether they could be used at ease. We stayed at the hotel for one whole week and it's not difficult to imagine the lasting inconvenience to us.

    Superb

Stayed 15/09/11.Arrived at 9.30pm due to travel problems and got a very warm welcome from reception. Was given a downstairs room due to mobility problems and the lift was very efficient for getting to the basement breakfast area.Room had dble bed plus single and was fine for short stay with tv ,wet room and curtained alcove wardrobe.12 Yr old and I slept well and felt safe, lovely view of mews through window.Within easy walking distance of tube and bus stops and Science museums etc.Breakfast was plentiful,at shared tables with ham, fruit, toast, rolls, cereals and full English available plus cucumber on the tables. Hotel had the feel of a familyrun b&b and not a chain which was lovely.Checkout was simple and reception again very polite and friendly.Lovely quiet area, safe to walk around at night and shops close by.I'd happily recommend to anyone.

Great value. Very quiet location but easy accessible. Perfect for visiting the museums and earls court. More breakfast than you can take! Clean bedding.

Room a bit tired but it was cheap!

    Fabulous

It was a short walk (5 min) from the Gloucester Road Underground station. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean and the beds and pillows comfortable. The breakfast was simple but plentiful - bacon, eggs and beans and lots of fruit. We only stayed overnight and found it very suitable. We were able to store our luggage all day for no charge. For anyone wanting somewhere to stay when visiting London for sightseeing it was very convenient.

    Good

Straight forward no nonsense place to sleep and have breakfast before going out to explore London. The hotel location is excellent and the staff clearly care for their clientèle. Breakfast was something out of Fawlty Towers and I mean that in a positive way. Endless processions of bread and fruit with the table being filled and over filled like an arcade game where the coins are going to fall off the edge but never quite do. If you want sterile homologous conformity, there is nothing to see here. But if you have a few days, a modest budget and want to fill up on an unforgettable breakfast that you will talk about years later this is the place for you.

    A bit noisy.

    Superb

We were able to fit a family of five in the room with a bed for everyone. The staff was very nice and truly cared about our comfort and satisfaction. The location is awesome. The full English breakfast was a nice way to start the day. They have fruit available rthroughout the day. This is not meant to be a five star hotel but it is very good value. I read some negative reviews online so were pleasantly surprised when we we arrived.
